EVENTS
- FRIDAY, JUNE 5 AT 13:30 GMT+1: U.S. NONFARM PAYROLLS (NFP) AND UNEMPLOYMENT RATE (MAY). Markets will closely watch the U.S. labor market data for further signals on the strength of the economy and the outlook for Federal Reserve policy. The unemployment rate has remained elevated around 4.3% in recent months, and any softer labor market data could increase expectations of a looser monetary policy, potentially weaken the U.S. dollar and support stocks prices.
- WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10 AT 13:30 GMT+1: U.S. INFLATION (CPI) (MAY). US inflation rose to 3.8% in April, hitting its highest level in two years. May data will be released on Wednesday (June 10), and investors will be eager to see whether the trend has slowed or accelerated. US inflation has risen from 2.4% in February to 3.8% in April. If a slowdown is reported, could ease pressure on the FED, supporting the USA100 price.
U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE
- WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17 AT 19:00 GMT+1: U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE INTEREST RATE DECISION. The announcement will be followed by a press conference hosted by new Chairman Kevin Warsh, who was nominated by U.S. President Donald Trump and recently confirmed by the U.S. Congress. Although interest rates are expected to remain at current levels of 3.75%, the new Chairman is expected to face pressure as President Trump continues insisting on lower interest rates. With the midterm elections approaching in November 2026, the political pressure on Kevin Warsh is expected to rise.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:
- SUPPORT AREA: 30,000 - 29,000. After rising by around 20% following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire in the Middle East, the USA100 climbed to new record highs above the 30,000 level. The USA100 has since remained above the newly established support zone between 30,000 and 29,000. However, a shift in market sentiment could still trigger a break below this range.
