AMD: AI GROWTH AND DEMAND SURGE
- AMD REPORTS STRONG CHIP DEMAND FOR 2026: AMD’s server CPU capacity for 2026 is nearly sold out due to surging demand from AI and data center hyperscalers. According to reports from Taiwan’s Commercial Times (CTEE), this imbalance led to price increases of 10–20% for server chips and 5–10% for consumer CPUs starting in March 2026. Driven by the mass deployment of Instinct MI350 and MI450 AI accelerators, analysts project the company will generate approximately $15 billion in AI-specific revenue this year, with total server CPU demand forecast to grow by at least 50%
- BREAKING (FEBRUARY 24): AMD SECURES META AS MAJOR AI CHIP CUSTOMER. AMD has signed a multi-year agreement with Meta to supply up to $60 billion worth of AI chips over five years, marking one of the largest deals in the sector. The partnership includes large-scale deployment of AMD Instinct GPUs to support Meta’s AI infrastructure, with shipments expected to begin in the second half of 2026. The deal also includes an option for Meta to acquire up to a 10% stake in AMD, further aligning both companies’ long-term interests.
