AMERICAN AIRLINES GROUP:

• THE COMPANY:  American Airlines Group is one of the largest airline companies in the world by the size of its fleet and the number of employees. With an $8,04 billion market capitalization, it is the 4th biggest airline company in the US after Southwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines.
• GLOBAL NETWORK: American Airlines is a leading global airline that operates thousands of flights per day to more than 350 destinations in over 60 countries.
• U.S. MARKET LEADERSHIP VS PEERS: American Airlines was the largest U.S. carrier in March 2026 with 21% market share in the U.S. and 22.4 million seats offered, ahead of Southwest (19% / 19.8 million seats) and Delta (18% / 19.6 million seats). The Big Four airlines (AA, Southwest, Delta, United) control 74% of the total U.S. market. American is also the world’s largest airline by scheduled flights, planning up to 7,000 peak daily departures this summer and over 2.39 million flights in 2026.
• SUMMER 2026 TRAVEL SEASON (MAY–SEPTEMBER): American Airlines is preparing for one of the busiest summers on record with the addition of 15 new routes, including enhanced Chicago (ORD) operations exceeding 500 daily departures and new connections to national parks and regional markets. Global air passenger traffic is projected to hit 5.2 billion (+4.4% YoY), supporting strong leisure and premium demand.

GEOPOLITICS: MIDDLE EAST WAR

• AMERICAN AIRLINES STOCK PRICE ACTION: The very last days before the war began (February 28), American Airlines stock traded at around $14. During the war, the stock fell at one point to $9.96, marking a total decrease of around 29%. However, as optimism has recently returned, the stock has recovered by around 20%, and if a full recovery to pre-war levels ($14) occurs, the stock price could see an additional upside of around 17%. Although the stock could also decline.
• BREAKING (APRIL 14): U.S. PRESIDENT TRUMP SAID TALKS BETWEEN THE U.S. AND IRAN COULD RESUME. Talks to end the Iran war could resume in Pakistan over the next few days, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday (April 14). Officials from Pakistan, Iran, and the Gulf also said negotiating teams from the U.S. and Iran could return to Pakistan later this week or early next week.

AMERICAN AIRLINES: EVENTS

• EVENT (THURSDAY, APRIL 23, PREMARKET): Q1 EARNINGS REPORT. American Airlines is expected to print $13.85 billion in revenue. This would be an increase of around 10% from the same period last year ($12.55 billion).

EXPECTED FORWARD GUIDANCE (Q2): The company is expected to say it will print $16.52 billion for Q2 of 2026, which would mark an increase of around 15% year on year.

AMERICAN AIRLINES: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND PRICE ACTION:

• SUPPORT AREA: $11–$10. The American Airlines stock price has consistently found strong support in the $11 - $10 range since at least October 2023. However, there remains a risk of a potential breakout below this level if market conditions change.
• FORECAST (Source: Bloomberg Terminal): JPMorgan forecasts $22; Morgan Stanley forecasts $20; HSBC forecasts $17.65; UBS forecasts $16; Citigroup forecasts $14.
